LA-Surgical accepts Medicare and most major HMO and PPO plans. For patients who wish to pay directly for their treatment without the involvement of insurance, we offer competitive pricing
Office
Consultation: $150
Consultations are free for patients being evaluated for weight loss surgery. All other patients must pay a consultation fee regardless of whether or not they choose to get surgery.
Minor office-based surgery: $500
Examples of minor, office-based surgery include excision of a small (<3cm) lipoma, excision of a cyst, or incision and drainage. If the specimen needs to be sent to a pathologist to assess for possible cancer, an additional fee of approximately $200 will be charged by a pathologist.
Outpatient Surgery
Prices are based on the cost of doing the surgery at an ambulatory surgery center. Only patients that are at low risk of cardiovascular complications (ASA I, ASA II) can have surgery safely performed at an ambulatory surgery center. Prices include the cost of the facility, the anesthesia provider, equipment used, and fee of the surgeon and their assistant. Patient will be required to obtain blood work (CBC, BMP), a COVID-19 test, and possibly an EKG (depending on age) prior to surgery. These additional tests can be obtained at any local center are typically $100 to $300 total.

*Patient bears responsibility for costs associated with a stay of greater than one night. Not all patients are candidates for ambulatory surgery center based surgeries and hospital-based surgeries are significantly more expensive.
